Libby’s Legacy Breast Cancer Foundation is actively monitoring the situation with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. To protect the health and wellbeing of our clients, staff and the communities we serve, as of March 17, we have suspended walk-in appointments and closed our offices and have transitioned to remote work until Monday, March 30. At that time we will reassess this decision based on the advice of public authorities.
We will continue to provide patient navigation for our survivors and intakes for our incoming clients remotely through phone, email and website. If you or someone you know is in need of breast care assistance, please begin your process by calling our office line at 407-898-1991, fill out an application on line at libbyslegacy.org or send an email to info@libbyslegacy.org.
In terms of our upcoming events, we are suspending all Survivorship Outings, the Pink Ribbon Garden Ribbon cutting in April, and are postponing our Spring fundraiser Treasure Your Chest Scavenger Hunt-Orlando, we will announce new dates as soon as possible once health authorities have advised it is safe for groups to gather. We will continue to follow the advice of public authorities and make decisions about other events and reopening our office.
Our Pink Ribbon Garden at the Libby’s Legacy office and at Lake Druid Park continues to produce fresh vegetables for breast cancer survivors and their families. If you or someone you know is a survivor and would like fresh produce, please email garden@libbyslegacy.org to discuss how you can pick up food safely.
We hope that you are taking the necessary precautions to keep yourself, your neighbors and your loved ones safe. We will get through this together.
