John Michael runs a successful real estate business, The Pink Team. The first to go to College in his family on a football scholarship, he left it all behind to come help care for his family when his mom had her breast cancer return while she was still in her thirties. John received his real estate license at 20 and vowed to take care of his mom and sisters, which is exactly what he did.

John has personal knowledge of Libby’s Legacy’s programs as his family was a recipient of the Live Big Cruise in 2012, he and his sisters were able to make, once in a lifetime, memories with their mother before she passed away shortly after at just 41 years old. He is passionate about helping spread the word and knowledge of who Libby’s Legacy is and how our programs can benefit the Central Florida community.

When asked why he wanted to join the board he replied, “Because of how much Libby’s does to support the community, how diverse they are and how dedicated they are to the people they serve, the survivors especially. I want to start my sisters volunteering young and have already committed to a growing season where all three of us will work in the garden and help deliver food to patients in current treatment.”

Komen, served on the Seminole Leadership Council since 2018 and Vice Chaired the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office Community Foundation.  Knowing how it’s been for non-profits due to COVID, Truth knew her talents could be utilized by a small, local, breast cancer non-profit that was doing big things and we are excited to have her.

Patient Services Contractor, Zenaida Diaz
Zenaida Diaz comes to us as the very first breast cancer Survivor Libby’s Legacy ever diagnosed in early 2009. , Zee moved to the state of Florida, from NY years ago. A wife for more than 40 years and a  mother to four boys, with the blessing of eight grand children. IN late 2008 I said to myself am long overdue for a mammogram. I hadn’t had one, for the first four years that I was living in Florida. I remember making several calls to different non-profit organizations. The only place that called be back was Libby’s Legacy breast cancer foundation. This was the beginning of a journey to a world unknown to me (Cancer)but they took care of everything from mammogram, to biopsy, to fighting for treatment.

I give my most sincere  gratitude to Libby’s legacy, they never left me alone, stood by me and my family during my surgery, chemo and recovery they kept by my side.  Robin has become a part of my family as I know to many more as well. I was given a second chance at life by the grace of God, I was Libby’s first patient diagnosed with Breast Cancer and I consider it an honor being their first and having Robin as my advocate in every sense of the word. Having seen how Libby’s has continued fighting for many more women that came after me. I knew I wanted to give back , I started as a volunteer and now am blessed to be contracted to help take care of our Spanish speaking clients.

I am forever blessed and forever grateful to be a part of Libby’s Legacy.
